random knowledge

Pineal gland, referred as the teesri aankh in mythology is actually a gland between our eye brows that regulate our ageing process, beside some other crucial coordination functions. It's mostly called the 'nocturnal gland' as it activates when we sleep or when we are in dark ...theres a hormone it regulates called melatonin...this hormone helps us sleep...and keeps us young. As we age...melatonin secretion gets lesser and we r bogged down by insomnia. Many say that sadhus living in caves lived a long life....because they came out in the light only briefly, for surya namaskar... they activated their pineal gland just enough to lead a normal wakeful day. Surya namaskar was like giving morning tea to the pineal gland, keeping it up and about but not making it over-function . The more light, this gland is exposed to...faster it makes our heart run. More heartbeats we exhaust, emptier gets reservoir of fixed heartbeats that we all have. Breathing as per ayurveda, should be like a swan...slow and steady...;not like a snake, fast and erratic. When talking of light, summers are time of light galore. Heart beats faster, an individual sleeps less and feels more drained out. Having spoken about seasons, lets also touch planets, not literally though. Taking duration of time unit into consideration( which is smaller on planets near sun and this uration increases thereon) a worth noting fact is, that as we get away from the high-light source(sun)....length of time stretches itself and longivity of anything that has a begin and an end.
People who streamline their lives, dont live forever but however long they live, its a healthy stay out here.
