when u say to someone ' i need time to think'...do u actually think? I dont. Thinking is not a structured process like making tea or coffee, one spoon of this, two spoons of that, stir for five minutes.......and voila! you dont do thinking, thoughts happen to u. and why would I like to think about something when didnt like brooding over it the first time and postponed the ordeal for some a later point in time. So when you say you need time to think , what are you actually saying? You are saying that my heart does not want to do whats asked, but you'll give a fair chance to your head and that'll you ask people what they think. So i guess, its loud and clear and extremely honest when u say ' i will think about it' which is to say, my head will do the work. If it wasnt so, we would be saying, 'I will feel about it, i need time to feel' Feelings r quicker than thinking. It gives its verdict fast.
