slumdogs galore....

Saw in the news the Indian slum kids at oscars. Unwashed, unkempt hair, very shabby dress on, it seemed that they hadn't even washed their faces. Make a movie on our slums, become rich and famous- no problem...but why was the little girl not even made presentable? she was standing petrified, alienated and alone. They could have at least cleaned those kids and given them decent clothes to wear, need not be studded with diamonds and platinum...that pinto female and that patel guy and whoever, all dressed to kill...could no body spare 10 minutes on these kids. with their parents not there at the function, somebody should have seen that they were looked after...oh! par jab tak bhookhe-mangte nahi lagenge to dekhne walo ko maza kaise aayega. yeah....cashing in on pathos..are they not? hmmm... it all figures man!
